The Trager practitioner adopts a relaxed and open meditative state of consciousness. The hands are used to communicate a quality of feeling to the nervous system by gently rocking, weighing, stretching and pressing.

A full session lasts 60-90 minutes. The client rests on a well-padded table in a warm comfortable environment. As the client experiences the exploration of gentle movements, he/she is provided with a sense of being able to move freely and painlessly.
