Personal Coaching

The profession of Personal Coaching (sometimes called Life Coaching) is booming. Coaches work with successful people who want to achieve greater success, much as an athlete who wants the "gold medal" and not just be in the race. Highly-motivated people, like yourself, who want to overcome the gap between where you are and where you want to be in their profession and their personal life, can be facilitated by your Personal Coach.

Coaching, whether done in person or through telecoaching, is for already successful, functional persons who want to move toward higher function and achieve excellence while creating an extraordinary life. Coaching is a process similar to solution focused techniques that therapists use for less serious psycho-emotional problems and life stresses.

Coaching by Professional Therapists

Therapists are probably the most well-positioned professionals to transition into this exciting, lucrative and personally enriching business. Therapists who learn the business of Personal Coaching really enjoy working with their clients and can even have a level of friendship and community that is not proper nor possible in traditional Psychotherapy. Coaching by phone is not dependent on geography - it is portable, convenient and more confidential than traditional therapy.

Psychotherapy generally deals with emotional or behavioral problems and often deals with the past or current disruptive situations. T herapists generally work with a dysfunction to bring the client to normal function. Therapy is usually done in-person, although at times, it may be done over the telephone.
